Too late

There is this guy called James. He broke up with his girlfriend Devon because, well, with no particular reason. She went to Cebu to mend her heart there. She came back every year, on their anniversary hoping that James will one day realize that she's the one he truly loves. But every year she will come back in Cebu heartbroken. James became a playboy. He dated different girls. And everytime Devon comes back to Manila and saw James with another girl, she gets heartbroken. But she still comes back every year. After five years of being a martyr, she confronted James. "Is there any chance left, any chance that you will love me again?" she asked. "No, there is none," James replied, his voice sounded cold. "Okay. Be happy James," she said then left. She never came back after that. Three years has passed. James finally realized something. That he loves Devon. He went to Cebu. After his plane landed there, he decided to go to a church first to pray to God. He saw that a wedding was happening at the church. He arrived in time when the father said, "you may now kiss the bride". He looked at the couple and saw that the bride is none other than Devon.
